The story behind this.
Built by someone who's done the search. For people doing it now.
I've been on both sides of this. I've sat across from hiring panels, and I've sat on my couch staring at job boards at 11pm wondering whether the version of my resume they were looking at was the one I'd sent or some other one I'd forgotten existed.
My version of the search was a little different from most. I had already started a business, so when full-time roles weren't landing, I leaned on my company to bring in contract work. That kept the lights on. It didn't make the search any less demoralizing, applications still disappeared into black holes, ATS systems still rejected resumes for reasons no human could see, and the same well-meaning advice (“just network more!”) still missed the point.
What I noticed during all of it is that the tools you're supposed to use during a job search are mostly designed to make you feel worse. Pricing pages telling you to “crush” and “dominate” while you're trying to make rent. Trial-traps. Buried cancel buttons. “Premium Plus Pro” tiers that exist mainly to make the cheaper tier feel inadequate. $49.95/month subscriptions for what should be a $15 product.
I built JobBoost because I wanted something that felt like a friend on the other side, not a salesman. A tool that scores your resume honestly, helps you fix what's actually broken, and doesn't treat the price of a job-search membership like a luxury good.
Why one plan.
Tier-shaming, the “upgrade to unlock!” pop-up, is the opposite of what I want to be doing while you're looking for work. There's one paid plan. Everything we make is in it. $14.99/month, or $7.99/month if you pay annually. That's less than Netflix Standard. It always will be.
What I promise.
- Cancel in one click. No retention calls. No dark patterns.
- No selling your data. Ever. To anyone. (We barely keep it, your resumes are yours; export them whenever.)
- No promises about getting you a job. I can't control hiring managers. I can give you tools that don't make the search harder.
- If you're struggling, email me. A human will reply. support@jobboost.ai.
If you're going through it right now, I'm sorry. The system is broken in ways nobody talks about, and it's not your fault. I hope this helps, even a little.
